The Gymnasium Dr. Buchmann is a private day gymnasium at Keltenstrasse in Zurich, founded in 1954 by Dr. Emil Buchmann and run as a foundation since 1964. It moved in 1956 into the Villa Zur Sunnehalde, where it has stayed, switched to the Swiss Matura examinations in 1998, and took its present name in 2024. It teaches an Untergymnasium of three years and a Gymnasium of three more, leading to the recognised Swiss Matura, with classes of about fifteen. The building stands close to the ETH campus, whose facilities the school can use. It has belonged to the Swiss private-schools association since 1990 and to the Zurich one since 2003, and is certified annually by SQS.
