About the School
The Ecole d'Humanité is a boarding school in Hasliberg Goldern, in the Bernese Oberland, for students in Grades 7 to 13. Paul and Edith Geheeb founded it in 1934, and it follows a progressive model in which each student takes an individual learning path. Around 110 students attend and classes average six. Two tracks run in parallel and in different languages: a United States high school programme with Advanced Placement options, taught in English, and a Swiss Matura programme taught in German, alongside Sekundarstufe I and a tenth school year. Students live in dormitories on the campus. Recent results include a 95 per cent average pass rate at Advanced Placement and an average Matura score of 5.04 out of 6.
