The Rietberg Montessori School is a Montessori day school on Seestrasse in Zurich, with almost forty years behind it, occupying three older houses at numbers 119, 121 and 135 among the mature trees of two neighbouring parks. It teaches a Kinderhaus and kindergarten from three and the primary years to twelve, with two or three teachers to a class and without grades, and runs a preparation course for the gymnasium at the end. The setting is bilingual German and English, and the week includes music and theatre, an art studio, sport and woodwork, with childcare alongside and through the holidays. It is a state-approved day school on a five-day week, a member of the Association Montessori Switzerland and of the Zurich private schools association. The school takes its name from the nearby Rietberg museum quarter.
