The Freies Gymnasium Basel is at Scherkesselweg in Basel and was founded in 1889. It teaches a continuous curriculum from kindergarten through to the cantonal Matura, and runs as a day school. Teaching is in German, with English and French taught as languages, and a bilingual strand called GoSwiss operates alongside. Additional provision includes a learning centre, a talent programme, an enhanced Sekundar A track, an extended gymnasium track and a forest kindergarten.
