About the School
Le Châtelard is a private Catholic international boarding school for girls in Les Avants-sur-Montreux, Switzerland, on the hillside above Lake Geneva. Founded in 1992, it educates around 94 students aged 13 to 18 across junior high and high school years, following a French-language programme aligned with Swiss educational standards. Students prepare for the DELF French language diploma at levels B1 and B2, and for the Cambridge English First Certificate. Alongside the academic programme the school runs a Le Cordon Bleu course in traditional French cooking, together with Savoir Vivre courses, sports and arts. Le Châtelard holds Cognia accreditation, is a member of the International Coalition of Girls' Schools, and belongs to the OAK International Academies network.
