About the School
The Institut Villa Pierrefeu is a finishing school at Route de Caux in Glion, above Montreux. Dorette Faillettaz founded it in 1954 under the name Bleu Leman; her daughter Viviane Néri took over in 1972 and her grandson Philippe Néri joined the management in 2004. More than 4,200 people from 120 countries have studied there. Its main course is the International Etiquette and Protocol programme, run over three or six weeks in the summer for women only, leading to a Higher Certificate or Diploma. Shorter five-day intensives cover the European Art of Dining and Modern Household Management, and bespoke programmes are arranged for groups.
