About the School
Ecole Chantemerle is a private international boarding and day school in Blonay, Switzerland, set above Lake Geneva near Montreux and Vevey. Founded in 1966 by the Wegmüller family, the school offers a deliberately small, family-style environment for boys and girls aged 6 to 18. Its academic model combines Swiss educational values with international pathways, including Swiss curriculum options and Cambridge IGCSE and A Level programmes. What differentiates Chantemerle is its emphasis on simplicity, balance, personal effort, and close supervision rather than a large-campus boarding experience. Boarding remains intimate, with around 45 boarders, allowing strong pastoral care and daily structure. Families often choose Chantemerle for its nurturing scale, natural setting, multilingual environment, and personalised preparation for future study in Switzerland or abroad.
Located in the beautiful Blonay, Vaud, Ecole Chantemerle has been providing exceptional education since 1966. With a student body of 50 students from around the world, the school offers a truly international learning environment with instruction in French & English.
