The École Française Internationale de Berne was founded in 1962 and teaches at Jubiläumsstrasse in Bern. It covers kindergarten through lower secondary, taking children from age three to fifteen, and follows the French national curriculum. Teaching is in French, with German taught throughout and a bilingual French-German kindergarten. The school is homologated by the Agence pour l'Enseignement Français à l'Étranger and authorised by the Bern Direction de l'Instruction Publique, and it is a Cambridge and Goethe-Institut examination centre. It is a non-profit association run by parent volunteers with support from the French Embassy.
