About the School
Rudolf Steiner Schule Zürcher Oberland is a private Waldorf day school on Usterstrasse in Wetzikon, taking children from about age three through to the twelfth class. It begins with a parent-child group and the Sunneschy playgroup from around three, then two kindergarten groups from about four and a half, followed by the Unterstufe, Mittelstufe and Oberstufe. The upper years are organised as an Integrative Mittelschule covering classes 10 to 12. The school does not itself award a Matura: after the IMS examination in the twelfth class, pupils may take a thirteenth year preparing for the Swiss federal Matura examination, or move on to an apprenticeship, a higher technical school or a Fachhochschule.
