English National Curriculum (Primary & Lower Secondary)

British schools in Switzerland teach the National Curriculum of England, organised into Key Stages: Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7), Key Stage 2 (7-11) and Key Stage 3 (11-14). It is the same programme of study used in England, so pupils move between British schools worldwide without repeating a year, and it feeds directly into IGCSE at 14-16 and A-Levels at 16-18. It differs from Cambridge Primary, which is Cambridge International's own framework rather than the English state curriculum.
