About the School
Neuchâtel Junior College is a private Canadian high school programme in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, designed specifically for Grade 12 students and selected gap-year students. Rather than offering a full K–12 pathway, NJC provides a distinctive pre-university year in which students complete Ontario Grade 12 courses, with the option to earn the Ontario Secondary School Diploma while living in French-speaking Switzerland. Its strongest differentiator is the combination of Canadian academics, cultural immersion, European travel, and host-family living rather than traditional campus boarding. Students study in English while gaining independence, French-language exposure, and maturity before university. Families often choose NJC for its focused final-year model, small international community, experiential curriculum, and preparation for university admission in Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and beyond.
Located in the beautiful Neuchâtel, Neuchatel Junior College has been providing exceptional education since 1956. With a student body of 60 students from around the world, the school offers a truly international learning environment with instruction in English & French.
