La Nave - Schule die bewegt

La Nave is a private day school at Bühlstrasse in Buchs, in the St. Gallen Rhine valley, which opened in 1992 as the Freie Volksschule Werdenberg and has been called La Nave since 2020. It takes children from six months in the Wurzelstufe, then the Basisstufe for the pre-school years, a primary stage for ages eight to twelve and a lower-secondary stage. Alongside the classroom the school runs Brütwerk, a workshop for making and inventing, and a riding-based education programme. It has been a UNESCO associated school since April 2010, and in 2013 it received the Swiss School Prize's special award for niche schools.
