About the School
John F. Kennedy International School is a day and boarding school at Chilchgasse in Saanen, next to Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland, founded in 1971. It takes children from two and a half to fourteen, from the Play School through Year 9, with boarding from the age of six. Around 100 pupils from more than 23 nationalities are taught and cared for by 40 staff, and the school day runs from eight until five. Teaching is in English, with outdoor learning through the year and a summer camp alongside the timetable. Fees for 2026-27 run from CHF 19,300 for a Play School morning place to CHF 49,550 for a day pupil in the upper years and CHF 102,800 for boarding, with a CHF 2,000 registration charge and a refundable deposit.
