Ecole Vio Malherbe is a private beauty and cosmetology school on Rue de Bourg in central Lausanne, teaching since 1950. It says it was the first school in French-speaking Switzerland authorised to train for the federal vocational certificate in beauty therapy, and remains the only one; it offers that certificate both as a full route and, under Article 32, to adults already working in the trade. It also awards its own diploma, recognised by CIDESCO, and a certificate in beauty therapy and cosmetology, alongside short courses. The curriculum pairs practical training with business management, sales, law and accounting. Classes run full time and part time, teaching is in French, and the school belongs to the Association Vaudoise des Écoles Privées.
