About the School
Ecole Persiaux is a private commercial school on Avenue des Morgines in Lancy, founded in Geneva in 1920 by Adolphe Persiaux, a former French typewriting champion, to teach typing and shorthand. It took its present name in 1960, added computing in 1980 and its first federal vocational certificate course in 2000, and marked its centenary in 2020, the year it moved to Lancy. Around 140 students attend. The commercial employee certificate runs over three years — two in school, then a paid year in a company — alongside one-year diplomas in commerce and in accounting support, and a two-year higher diploma. Fees for the certificate are CHF 14,900 in the first year and CHF 16,500 in the second, with CHF 2,800 for examinations in the third. Teaching is in French, with English and either German or Italian. The school is eduQua certified, approved by the cantonal vocational office, and belongs to the Association Genevoise des Écoles Privées.
