About the School
Ecole Bersot is a private day school on Rue de Genève in Thônex, on the eastern edge of Geneva, founded there in 1992 by Monsieur and Madame Bersot and run since 2017 by Mesdames Brunel and Pesson. It teaches the three years of the cycle d'orientation to around sixty pupils aged eleven to fifteen, across the R2, R3, LC and LS streams, and adds a further orientation year for pupils who need longer to settle on a direction. The programme follows the Plan d'études romand, with homework supervised in groups of six to eight. English and German are carried towards the Cambridge and Goethe examinations, and optional courses run in programming and robotics, sewing and first aid. Teaching is in French and annual fees start at CHF 19,990. The school carries the Swiss School Impulse label and belongs to the Association Genevoise des Écoles Privées.
